Versatile Digital Signage With LCD Enclosures

Using TV equipment for the purposes of out of home advertising is a relatively new idea. The slim line nature of LCD and plasma has enabled them to be used in places where their predecessor, the bulky cathode ray tube (CRT), could not. Using this type of advertising for non broadcast purposes has been given a whole host of names such as digital advertising, digital signage, narrowcasting and digital out of home advertising (DooH).

The purpose of these signage systems is not just limited to advertising either with more and more informational applications such as interactive maps in shopping malls and information kiosks on the high street. LCDs and plasmas are now regularly being implemented outside and the expansion of digital outdoor signage is expected to triple in the coming years as more and more business realise the greater audience potential by using this technology outdoors.

Using LCD and plasma displays and monitors and outside requires protection. Rain, wind-blown dust, snow, sleet, extreme heat and freezing temperatures are elements that have the potential to permanently disable a digital signage system.

Other areas also contain harmful elements tat can damage LCD or plasma screens. Factories and other industrial areas often require the use of monitors; displays or outdoor digital signage systems and these areas often contain large amounts of dust or in places that deal with food manufacturing, water too.

Digital signage has huge advantages over traditional print media in that digital signage:
• Is cheaper than creating and print ad campaigns.
• Flexible - promotions can be changed immediately
• Messages can be tailored and varied for different products or particular customers
• Revenue can be produced through selling advertising space
• It can help influence customer behaviour
• Provide important information
• Is far better looking than traditional print signs; improving company image
• Better visibility for warning signs or important information

Time Server Basic Questions Answered

What is a time server?

A time server is a device that receives and distributes a single time source across a computer network for the purposes of time synchronization. These devices are often referred to as a NTP server or network time server or and atomic clock server.

And NTP?

NTP - Network Time Protocol is a set of software instructions designed to transfer and synchronize time across LANs (Local Area Network) or WANS (Wider Area Network). NTP is one of the oldest known protocols in use today and is by far the most commonly used time synchronization application.

What timescale should I use?

Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is a global timescale based on the time told by atomic clocks. UTC doesn't take into account time zones and is therefore ideal for network applications as in principle by synchronizing a network to UTC you are in effect synchronizing it to every other network that utilises UTC.

Where does a NTP server receive the time from?

A NTP server can utilise the time from anywhere such as a wrist watch or wall clock. However, any sensible network administrator would opt to use a source of UTC time to ensure the network is as accurate as possible. UTC is available from several ready sources. The most used is perhaps the internet. There are many 'time servers' on the internet that distribute UTC time. Unfortunately, many are not at all accurate an in using an internet time source you could be leaving the network vulnerable as malicious users can take advantage of the open port in the firewall where the timing information flows.

It is far better to use a dedicated NTP time server that receives the UTC time signal external to the network and firewall. The best methods for doing this is to either use the GPS signals transmitted from space or the national time and frequency transmissions broadcast by several countries in long wave.

Richard N Williams is a technical author and specialist in atomic clocks, telecommunications, NTP and network time synchronisation helping to develop dedicated NTP clocks. Please visit us for more information about a Galleon ntp time server or other ntp server solutions.

Computer Network Timing Solutions

Computer networks and the internet have dramatically changed the way we live our lives. Computers are now in constant communication with each other making possible transactions such as online shopping, seat reservation and even email.

However, all this is only possible thanks to accurate network timing and in particular the use of Network Time Protocol (NTP) used to ensure all machines on a network are running the same time.

Timing synchronization is crucial for computer networks. Computers use time in the form of timestamps as the only marker to separate two events, without synchronization computers have difficulty in establishing the order of events or indeed if an event has happened or not.

Failing to synchronize a network can have untold effects. Emails may arrive before they are sent (according to the computer's clock), data may get lost or fail to store and worst-of-all, the entire network could be vulnerable to malicious users and even fraudsters.

Synchronization with NTP is relatively straight forward as most operating systems have a version of the time protocol already installed; however, choosing a timing reference to synchronize to is more challenging.

UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) is a global timescale governed by atomic clocks and is used by nearly all computer networks across the globe. By synchronizing to UTC a computer network is essentially synchronizing the network time with ever other computer network in the world that uses UTC.

The internet has plenty of sources of UTC available but security issues with the firewall means the only safe method of receiving UTC is externally. Dedicated NTP time servers can do this using either long wave radio or GPS satellite transmissions.

How to Use a 'People Address Finder' Easily and Effectively

Step 1: Google is going to be your first resource. Here, you will just need to key in the name of the person you are trying to locate - you just have to make sure that you place quotation marks around it. ("John Doe") If you have other information to add, you may place it at the end of the name for more details.

Step 2: Google News. If at some point the person you are trying to locate was mentioned in the news before, there is a chance that this person's name will appear here.

Step 3: Phone Book - this will be a good source since you will have the option to choose from international and national numbers that will allow you to search the whole United States.

Step 4: You may cringe at the thought of searching the SSDI or Social Security Death Index since the names that will appear here are most likely dead - but think of it positively, this will be a good site to search since it has about 82 million death records.

Step 5: Sign up for websites like Myspace or Facebook and try to locate the person you want to see through the friend finder service they have. A lot of people use these sites for social networking these days.

Step 6: You may also want to use people search engines such as US-search- here you will be able to see more information aside from place or name or birthday. This site is what I would like to call the mother of all searches. This people finder will generate a lot more stuff than just an address. (You will see what I mean).

I have actually reviewed all the functionality of us-search on my blog. I highly recommend that you view so you know what us search is about. Here, I will show you how to use the people address finder, us search, to find whoever you are looking for.

How to Trace Any Unknown Number in Minutes!

When you need to know who is behind a certain phone number, you can rely on a reverse phone book directory. There are many uses for a directory when you are unsure who has been calling you or your husband repeatedly. Anonymous callers or mysterious texts to your phone can be frustrating, but there is a way to get the information you need quickly and easily.

It is useful to be aware of what numbers are calling you or your children late at night. It's best to be certain when answering the phone because unknown numbers can be anyone with any types of intentions. Keeping you safe from potential danger is worth the small amount of money it costs to use a directory. Using the reverse phone book directory is not limited to just those reasons stated above.

Some directories don't continually update contact information which means that you will not always get the results you're looking for. In order to avoid this problem, make sure you find a large and legitimate directory that has already given satisfactory info to its customers.

Working around any issue you may have is as simple as searching for a reputable reverse phone book directory. To give you the best chance of getting the contact information you need, you'll need to use a trusty directory.

Make sure you read everything the service includes before you pay. Using a reverse phone lookup will enable you to always know who is on the other end of the line, whether it's a friend, foe, or prankster!

Is someone calling you and you don't know who? Are you wondering who your spouse is calling all the time? Phone tracing technology has re-connected lost friends, stopped pranksters in their tracks, and caught cheating spouses red-handed.

To begin tracing any phone number... Best Phone Number Directory

If you already have the name of the person you are investigating, but would like to obtain MORE INFORMATION (e.g. Death, Marriage, Birth, Divorce Records), then this service will blow your mind... Public Records Lookup!

Audio Teleconferencing Services

Although video and web conferencing are making headway due to the visual impact they create, audio conferencing is not perceived as an outdated mode of communication. It is being developed constantly to enhance user experience and make it more cost effective. For short talks or concise business meetings, audio conferencing is still vouched for, as a speedier mode and cheaper mode of communication in comparison to its video and web counterparts.

Audio teleconferencing is variously referred to as conference call, audio teleconferencing or simply teleconferencing.  While a basic telephone call allows only two callers to participate in a conversation, this service allows more than two callers to participate simultaneously in a single conversation. All parties involved can hear the conversation and discuss the call agenda simultaneously.

This service is avidly used by global businesses to circulate information to a group so that everybody concerned receives the same information. This is a very important function of this service. It is also used a great deal when offshore employees are involved. Every business process involves discussion to co-ordinate the various steps involved in its completion. Air travel is virtually impossible for such meeting since it consumes a lot of time and money. Video and web conferencing take some time to assemble. But audio conferences are quick and highly cost effective.

Of late, teleconference call services are highly effective in terms of voice quality. It allows callers involved to ask questions and add information to the discussion whenever necessary. However care should be taken to eliminate background noises at the venue. By taking few precautions, teleconferences can be used effectively as the fastest and best modes of local and distance communication when concise meetings are involved.

I am a programmer working for a conference call service providers company and the services our company provides include video and audio conferencing services.

Find Old School Friends From High School Or College

My academic life after middle school was something that would in one way or another, predict on how I would be in the working force. I was able to experience a lot of things, where academic and extra curricular pressures would squeeze out the best out of me. It is due to this that I had my own goals, dreams and aspirations in life. And it is due to my friends that I had found my own purpose in living. Most likely, it is also true for you. In this article, I am going to impart with you some techniques on how to find high school friends through the net and restore those bridges of friendship.

There are several methods for you to find your friends in college or high school. Here are some of them.

1. Scan your yearbooks and directories

Yearbooks would have the photographs and other information about a graduate. Included in the yearbooks are the contact numbers, mailing addresses and even the parents of a person you are looking for. School directories are also available and usually carry the contact numbers, email addresses or mailing address of a student. However, you must bear in mind that the information that is provided by yearbooks and directories is not updated.

2. Visit social networking websites

Social networking websites have millions of accounts and profiles of different individuals. Included in these websites are Friendster and Facebook. You would just type your friend's name or email address, and in just a snap, you would have search results that would pretty much be the same to your keywords. But then, be careful when you use this. There are several fake accounts present in these sites like Multiply and Hi5 that would provide you with fraudulent and malicious information.

3. Use people search engines

People search engines like Zaba Search are able to provide you with basic information about a person. This may include the date of birth, gender, age, phone number and mailing address. Another good site to visit is provided by White Pages. They would provide you with very basic information about a person, and may even give you with the possible methods on how to contact that person you are trying to find. Typically, they are free of charge.

One of the best types of people search engines are those 'background check websites.' They can tell you about a person's history of addresses, phone numbers and other information for a pretty cheap price. One of the best services of this type is US Search. I've talked to many people who had amazing results with them. You can go to US Search site by clicking here.

People Search - You Don't Need More Heartaches

Taking the necessary steps to find someone you have loved and lost is an emotional process, and when emotions run high we often make decisions without realizing the dangers we expose ourselves to. Scammers prey on these opportunities. If you have decided to take initiative and find someone, you have to beware of people search scams.

The most common type of con is identity theft because of the privacy-sensitive information given to a company of this nature, but some companies also take your money while making no real effort. It is important to determine the validity of a company before you make the decision to give them business.

Before signing up for an account or even asking for more information, it is best to take some variables into account. Do they provide an email address to get in touch with them, or are they hiding behind their computer? Drop them an email and see how available they are.

Next, do some searches on Google with the company's name. Typing in "the company name scam" will let you know if they have been up to a lot of dirty work, but beware of people search scams using this test to their advantage. It is quite easy to type up some articles targeting Google searches for a term like that and talk about how the company is NOT a scammer.

Sometimes you have to go to the third, fourth, or fifth pages in Google to find search items that are based on real information rather than marketing ploys. You can also contact expert sources in the community, such as bloggers or forums, and ask people if they know anything about the company.

Okay, so now they've passed some solid tests. If you really want to put your mind at ease, use the email to ask relevant questions. Ask about how their service works and what will be available. A trustworthy people search service will be upfront about all their dealings, explain to you how the service works, and how they will communicate during your relationship because they know how important the search is to you. If they seem hesitant to answer questions, it is best to find someone new.

You need a way to verify they are actually making efforts to do the job, so ask how that can be done. It is easy to sit back and do nothing while claiming no progress has been made. If these people really know anything about the information capabilities of the worldwide web, your personal information could be in dangerous hands. Not to mention you surely want real answers to your search-not just more heartache. Make sure you make wise decisions even in the face of emotional pain.

Free Reverse Phone Lookup Directory - 3 Tips For a Cell Look Up Website

So, you are looking for a free reverse phone lookup directory? If one actually does exist that would be great. However, if you are asking if one does exist the answer is going to be no. Follow along and I will give you 3 Tips on finding a reverse phone look up website.

Tip #1
There is no such thing as a Free Cell Phone lookup website.  Why is there not one? Well the main reason is because cell numbers are private and are not considered public domain, so for now you will not see free searches for cell numbers.

Tip #2
There was talk of some companies putting together a wireless phone directory for cell phone numbers.  As it stands, this project is still not up and running and who knows if it will ever be. The concern here is telemarketers getting a hold of these mobile phone numbers and soliciting.  That would not be good at all. Who wants telemarketers calling our cell phones? That would be beyond annoying and I hope a wireless reverse phone directory is kept hush hush just for that reason.

Tip #3
Be careful of websites that claim that they are free, most of them are not free. Be sure to read the fine print always. I have found that in my research, if you pay a small fee for a cell look up, it is worth the quality. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. This is very true when it comes to reverse cell phone lookups of any kind.

How to Find the Address of Someone

How do you find the address of someone if you know at least their full name? Well, there are several ways to do it. Before you start, I want you to equip yourself with the mindset that the only way to succeed in something is to NOT GIVE UP. We'll explore different resources, as well as different methods and tactics here that can help you find someone's address. The only way to succeed here is to implement what is being taught here and not give up.

They say that anyone that is not hiding intentionally can be found on the internet. I tend to agree with this. So, before you start searching and using different websites, please try and do this: Write as much information as possible you know about the person whom you're trying to find his previous/current address. Do you know his maiden name (in case the person is a female)? His approximate age? Locations where he lived? Relatives?

Once you write this information down (or if you have a good memory, keep it in your mind) let's start with the searching process. For example, if you know the person's phone number then you can do a phone number search (just type 'reverse phone lookup' in Google) and see if you find something. Whitepages.com and Anywho.com are very good sites that offer this option. If the only data you found about that person is his full name then you can do a name search too. If you know his social security number, that's even better! Read on.

So which tools to use? As I've mentioned, the best free tools available for name search and reverse phone search are switchboard.com and anywho.com. People.yahoo.com is another good option.

Another great option I recommend highly is to use background check services. They can help you find information on people such as the entire history of addresses and phone numbers of the person. You can use this information in many ways (example: you found a person's previous address and you are now you can do a reverse address search, find all the people who live there, call them and ask them whether they know something about that person.)

One very good service I recommend of this type is US Search I've talked to many people and they all had very satisfactory results with them. Check them out

What is Email Lookup?

Email is still rising in popularity and has become the standard way of communicating with the people. It's an easy way to share information like document files in the intra office business communication. With this trend, it's not a surprise that lookup of email is gaining popularity. Most people go for email address search than researching for an email address. They think that this is a time consuming process.

Email lookup is not the same as email search and it's a time saving process. Using the email search engines and social websites, people search for email address. It may fetch you good results in some cases whereas in some cases it bends you a lot. You may be irritated in finding out your best friends email ID. Nowadays people maintain privacy to their mail address and don't like them to be listed in search sites. In such cases researching through email lookup is a helping hand.

The email provider maintains several databases to store enormous information about millions of people. When searching for an email ID, the search engines searches for these available information in the databases. This is a heavy burden for search sites. The reverse email lookup can actually be incredibly fast and easy where in a single database all the information is maintained. Instead of spending hours in searching for your beloved friends and sweet hearts you can gather their email address in just matter of moments. While you may result in a hit or miss in search engines or social sites, the email lookup will give good results for you. Thus email address search have been made easier through email lookup.

Internet Background Check - How to Search For People on the Internet

I always used to ask myself if it is possible to search for people using the internet. Guess what the answer was.

Not only using the internet to conduct people search is possible but it is probably the best way to do it! Wow, that was a shocker for me, I tell you. This article will explore several things like what to do before you start looking for a person on the internet, what to be aware of and tell you what types of tools exist in order to ultimately find and reconnect with whoever you want to.

What do you need to do before starting to search through all these millions of background records? One thing: Get as much information as possible about that person. The more you got it, the better your chances are of finding that person. Why should you do this, you say? Of course, to distinguish him from the other people. What if you find that there are 30 other people in that state with the same name as him? Of course, this is not a rare case. Quite the opposite, it is very common one.

Now after you did this, let's head to the free and paid people search engines.

Some of the best free people search engines are wink.com, spock.com. These search for the person's online presence through hundreds of social networks to determine whether that person owns a social networking profile.

You can also look up the white pages as free resource available on whitepages.com and anywho.com

For more advanced search use some background check sites. They can give you information like a person's previous/current address and phone number, list of relatives and all types of public records available. One good service I found (and talked to many people who used it and confirmed, like myself, it is very good) is US Search. You can go and visit their site by clicking on this link.

Telephone Reverse Look Up - Discover the Identity of Any Unknown Caller Instantly

A telephone reverse look up is a great way to find out personal information of virtually any person or company that calls you. You may need to find out who keeps calling you and hanging up, or maybe you are expecting a call from a prospective employer or job offer and you missed the call. In other cases, you may suspect of a cheating spouse and you may need to search the phone number of the person he or she may be talking secretly.

The information that you are able to discover using an online directory is actually very thorough and complete, like background and personal information, complete address, phone carrier information, close relatives, etc.

There are two ways basically to do a telephone reverse look up: paid and unpaid online searches. The main difference between the two is that free resources are very limited in that they only include information about listed land lines. Unlisted and cell phone numbers as well as businesses are not included in free directories and the reason is that they are not considered to be public records.

Paid services on the other hand, have a wealth of information about virtually any number, listed or unlisted, businesses or cell phones. All you have to do is input the telephone number that you need to search.

You will get a preview of the information included in the full report. If you need to access the full report, you can pay a one time fee or a full year's membership that entitles you to unlimited searches. The fees are very low but the information is very complete.

If you need to do a Telephone Reverse Lookup make sure to use the top rated service used by private detectives and cops. Click Here for more information.

People Search Engines - Basic and Advanced

Using search engines, you can rummage around for look up sites to help you track a certain individual or assist you in finding a certain person. Normally these websites provide free services but to a restricted amount of information you can acquire regarding your search query.

Lookup sites which offer free viewing of search results with limited quantity of information you can view, offers premium services which lets you view the complete result after you subscribe to their service.

These fees differ between the degrees of information you are requesting, finding out who owns a certain phone number may come free, but viewing the other personal information accompanied in the result is not. This is because the result may contain sensitive personal information pertaining to a certain person.

Examples of personal information and public documents which a lookup site may include in such results may include, the subject's phone number, current location or billing address, criminal records (if applicable), employment history, medical records, household members, property records and many more. For specific websites that can give you this type of information see these background check companies

You may request to view the mentioned documents or information after paying a particular rate for that specific document you are requesting. For example, a criminal record may cost you $35 while the medical history cost $40 and so on.

With the level of confidentiality and sensitivity of the documents and information involved in this issue, it is healthier to choose an established and experienced look up service to trust. Doing so will provide you with precise and up-to-date niceties to equip you in knowing more about the particular person you are tracking.
